Mapletree Business City - MBC Two represents a landmark commercial development in Singapore, showcasing sophisticated architectural design and premium material specifications. Sun Young Corp was selected as the primary stone supplier for this prestigious project, delivering comprehensive granite solutions that define the building's modern aesthetic and functional excellence.
The project showcases advanced granite applications across multiple architectural elements. Absolute Black Granite with mixed finishes creates dramatic visual impact—the flamed finish provides enhanced slip resistance for high-traffic areas and outdoor applications, while the water jet finish enables precision-cut geometric patterns and architectural details. This dual-finish approach demonstrates sophisticated material strategy, combining functionality with aesthetic sophistication.
Our material palette included premium granite selections: Absolute Black Granite (flamed and water jet finishes), G603 Granite for lighter accent areas, and G654 Granite for distinctive dark grey elements with black speckles. Each material was carefully specified for its intended application, ensuring optimal performance and visual coherence across the complex.
Applications encompassed diverse architectural elements: expansive flooring systems featuring mixed-finish Absolute Black Granite creating dynamic visual patterns; custom-fabricated benches and seating elements; precision-engineered stair systems with flamed Absolute Black Granite treads providing superior slip resistance; and curved curb elements demonstrating advanced fabrication capabilities. Every element was meticulously detailed through shop drawings, validated through dry-lay inspection, and installed with comprehensive quality assurance.
